Packaging & Preparation Policy

1. General Requirements

• All goods must be securely packaged so they cannot move, leak, or be damaged in transit.
• The outer packaging must be strong enough for the weight and nature of the contents.
• Labels must be clearly visible and securely attached.
• Freight must be ready for collection on the day of booking.

2. Cartons

• Use sturdy, undamaged cartons appropriate for the weight.
• Fill voids so contents cannot shift.
• Seal all openings with quality packing tape.
• Do not overfill or underfill cartons.

3. Pallets

• Pallet consignments are business-to-business only.
• A forklift (or equivalent) must be available at both pickup and delivery.
• Goods must be stacked squarely and shrink-wrapped or strapped so nothing can shift or fall.
• The load must not overhang the pallet.
• Maximum practical height should allow safe handling (typically under 1.8–2.0 m unless pre-agreed).

4. Drums, IBCs & Bulk Bags

• Drums must be sealed and secured to a pallet (strapped or otherwise fixed).
• IBCs must be in sound condition and palletised if required for handling.
• Bulk bags must be stable and suitable for forklift handling.

5. Crates & Framed Items

• Items that can move or be damaged (e.g. machinery, engines, irregular shapes) must be crated or framed.
• Crates/frames must allow the carrier to secure the load safely.
• Protruding parts must be protected.

6. What We Do Not Accept

Refer to the Prohibited Goods list in our Terms & Conditions. In summary we do not accept dangerous goods, live animals, household removals, inadequately packaged items, or anything that cannot be safely handled as a carton, pallet, crate, IBC, or bulk bag on a pallet.

7. Customer Responsibility

• You are responsible for correct packaging and accurate declarations.
• Poorly packed freight may be refused, returned, or held at additional cost.
• Damage resulting from inadequate packaging is not covered.
